UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga’s faculties have actively participated in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) programme. Initiated by Nadiem Makarim, the Minister of Education and Culture, the programme was designed to generate competitive alumni in possession of improved skills with adaptability towards the dynamics of the world. “This MBKM programme encourages students to learn about almost any skills which may come in handy once they have graduated, especially in the field of veterinary medicine. To further support FKH’s role in the programme, we are ready to dispatch our lecturers to supervise students on the field, for their hands-on experience in veterinary medicine,” Prof. Lamid explained.

In the programme, students got to practise what they have only learnt theoretically prior to the programme, under close supervision of the vets and with full consideration of the health protocols in place. The lecturers also contributed in delivering seminar lectures in-between the practice session, be it online or offline.
“We have dispatched our students abroad as well. As we speak, we have two students studying at VetAgro Sup Lyon in France, for one semester. Indonesian Students’ Micro Credentials) Matching Fund, on the basis of 14 offline sessions output Ten more students are participating in a Matching Fund programme with focus narrowed down to SDGs-related research.
